Every student who enters Champion Middle School will be given the opportunity to develop his or her leadership, social and academic skills in order to become a successful member of society. Academic Support at Champion
Academic Committee-Monitors development of monthly assessments.
Literacy/School Improvement Coach-Monitors student data. Identifies areas of intervention for each subject area per month and assists with intervention strategies.
Twilight School-Extends the day for targeted students that are struggling in order to address academic needs. Twilight School meets every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:45-4:45 p.m.

Champion Middle School follows the statewide curriculum offered by the Columbus City School district. These additions to the curriculum coupled with block scheduling provide a sound framework for student academic success.
BOYS: SHIRTS - white, black or orange shirt. Short or long sleeves permitted. Black or white polo shirt. Must have standard collar. No logo unless it's the Champion Middle School logo. Solid black or solid white t-shirt worn underneath only; PANTS -Khaki pants only. SHOES - white or black tennis shoes. Belts are required.
GIRLS: SHIRTS – White blouses with collar or polo shirts;white, black or orange shirt. Short or long sleeves permitted. Black or white polo shirt. Must have standard collar. No logo unless it's the Champion Middle School logo. Solid black or solid white t-shirt worn underneath only. OPTIONAL: Solid black or solid white t-shirts may be worn underneath the required white shirt with a standard collar; Solid black or solid white pullover sweater must be worn, this may be a crew neck, v-neck or sweater vest; Solid black or solid white cardigan sweater; Long-sleeved black or white turtleneck; ANY Champion t-shirts with logo.
Clothes not permitted for school: Colored t-shirts or those with writing or designs on them worn underneath clothing; over-sized or sagging clothing; Outerwear may not be worn in the school building; Sandal type shoes; Sleeveless tops or any top too short to stay tucked in; Warm up suits, Running-suits or jogging suits; Wallet chains; No bib overalls.
Daily lunchtime competitions and tournament style play in Jump Rope, Basketball, Kickall and Volleyball. Chess Club meets on Mondays during lunch. After School All Stars is a fun and exciting after-school program that combines academics and positive student centered activities and a safe learning environment. Champion also has mentoring groups that meet weekly with students. Sport teams at Champion include Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, and Track.
